Starting edge approx. 5m above the skier, collapse of the entire catchment area up to the offshoot, triggering skier was able to ski out himself; injured his hip - self-care by group members; no burial;
Slope exposure in the main wind direction, no obvious drift snow deposits, shadow-light change in the release area, transition from icy ground to drift snow deposits in the release area, hardly visible due to light conditions.
All group members equipped with safety equipment. All group members are experienced and have a high level of training in snow and avalanche awareness.
